The following terms and conditions apply to the Monty’s Devon Ltd sites (‘the Sites’) located at www.montysbeads.com and www.montysjewellery.com, and all associated websites linked to the sites by Monty’s Devon Ltd, its partners and affiliates. Ensure you read these terms and conditions carefully, by using the named site(s) and associated sites you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
The Terms and Conditions govern your use of, and any purchase from the Monty’s Devon Ltd websites. Any such purchasing from a Monty’s Devon Ltd site establishes an agreement between you and Monty’s Devon Ltd.
Monty’s Devon Ltd reserves the right to revise or change the Terms and Conditions, or any policy of the site(s) at any given time. Such revisions or changes are effective at the time in which they are modified on the site(s). Your continued use of the site(s) following its modifications deems your acceptance of such modifications. As a user of the site(s) you should therefore review the Terms and Conditions or any other given polices consistently to ensure you are aware of the terms and conditions to which you are bound by.
If you do not agree with the given terms and agreements and any amended terms, you must stop using the Monty’s Devon Ltd site(s) immediately.
In the following terms & conditions, policies and guidelines the expressions “we”, “us” and “our” are a reference to Monty’s Devon Ltd.
- Product or Service Availability, Errors, Inaccuracies and Pricing
If there is a product or service to which you are interested in that is unavailable then please contact Monty’s Devon Ltd and we will be able to notify you when such product or service is back in stock or available.
Sometimes there may be a delay between a product being sold in store and our website updating to reflect this. In the event that an item you have ordered is out of stock, we will offer a replacement or a refund.

Although all due care is taken, the information on the site(s) can have discrepancies or be inaccurate and this may relate to product or service descriptions, pricing, advertisings, offerings and promotions, product shipping charges, goods in transit times and availability. Monty’s Devon Ltd takes all due care to avoid such errors however they still may occur. In the event of an error Monty’s Devon Ltd reserves the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and do not honour inaccurate prices or information.
In the event that a products price or stock count is lower than the actual price or stock count, Monty’s Devon Ltd at their discretion will firstly contact you for instructions before shipping the item, we also reserve the right to cancel the order and you will be notified of such cancellation. Customers who order an item at an incorrect price may cancel their order. In the event that the order has been shipped, you agree to either return the product or pay the difference in price discrepancy.
Prices of Monty’s Devon Ltd products and services are subject to change without notice. Monty’s Devon Ltd reserve the right to change incorrect prices and are not obliged to provide any products or services at an incorrect price. Monty’s Devon Ltd reserve the right at any time to modify or remove a service without notice. Monty’s Devon Ltd are not liable to you or any third-party for alterations, price changes or discontinuances of a service.

- Returns Policy
The returns policy applies to all goods available for purchase at Monty’s Devon Ltd, note further terms and conditions apply to special orders, custom-made items and services.
Return of Unwanted Goods
If you wish to return products after receiving your delivery, you will need to pay the postage costs back to us. We will be happy to exchange or refund most items within 28 days of your purchase. We are unable to accept the return of earrings or bespoke/personalised jewellery. All goods must be returned in their original state and packaging.
In the case that you wish to return an item for repair, replacement or refund it must meet the requirements of the Monty’s Devon Ltd returns policy, please see below for faulty good returns.
If your item has been approved for return subject to inspection, the item must include a proof of purchase and the return confirmation email.
- Special Orders, Custom Makes & Services Cancellation Policy
It is important to take care when choosing a Special Order, Custom Made item(s) or Service with Monty’s Devon Ltd. If you decide to cancel the item due to change of mind Monty’s Devon Ltd are not required to give you a refund so you must choose carefully. Once you have been given the approval for an item to be ordered, a custom made piece to be made or a service to be conducted you must understand that this is a binding agreement and by ordering a special made piece, custom make or service you may not be entitled to a cancellation, if a cancellation has been approved at the discretion of Monty’s Devon Ltd you will incur a 30% cancellation fee.
In the event that you wish to cancel a special order, custom make or service(s) you must contact Monty’s Devon Ltd immediately as Monty’s Devon Ltd will only cancel an order if the special order, custom make or service has not been started or a loss has not been incurred to Monty’s Devon Ltd. In the case where the work has not been conducted you may be able to cancel your order however you will be charged a cancelation fee of 30% of the total order amount.
In the event that the special order, custom make or service has already been conducted you are required to complete the transaction and pay the full amounts owing to Monty’s Devon Ltd.
- UK Consumer Law & Governing Laws
All goods and services on offer by Monty’s Devon Ltd fall under the rights of UK Consumer Law.
Faulty goods
As a consumer you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund if the item faulty.
If the item you have purchased proves to be faulty you are entitled to return the item for a refund or exchange, it is important to understand that the remedy to the problem will be subject to the problem itself.
If you find your goods to be faulty we will send you replacement goods at our cost. Please notify us or any issues within 28 days. We will ask you to return the faulty goods to us (at our cost) prior to our sending out replacements.
Cancelling an Order
Under UK law, you have the right to cancel the contract for your purchase within 7 working days of delivery.
To cancel a contract please contact us via email or the contact form below within 7 days of receiving your goods. Please then write “CANCEL CONTRACT” on the back of your invoice. You are required to pay the cost of returning the items to us, please return to us at:

Please ensure you obtain proof of postage, preferably use a recorded-delivery service.
You consumer rights allow you to cancel the contract at any time up to 7 days after the goods have been received. If you have not received your goods but wish to cancel you must refuse any parcels which are sent to you. If you received free delivery for your order and cancel part of the order and the new total amount falls below the free delivery threshold then your refund will be issued less the corresponding postage for the new cost of the order.
All refunds will be made within 30 days of notification of cancellation.
- Shipping, Postage & Delivery Policy
Once an item has been ordered you will receive a confirmation email from the site(s), the item will be dispatched by Monty’s Devon Ltd and you will receive an email to confirm that the item(s) is on its way. If your item has not arrived by the estimated delivery time Monty’s Devon Ltd are in no way liable for any losses. Ensure you allocate an acceptable address for delivery to ensure your item can be signed for, if necessary, upon delivery. Monty’s Devon Ltd do not accept responsibility for delay in delivery.
You must sign for the delivery if necessary.
If you are not at the address for the time of delivery a notice will be left at your address specifying details for alternate pick-up or redelivery arrangements.
You are not able to change your address once you order has been processed. In the case where you urgently require to change your address on an order placed you MUST notify Monty’s Devon Ltd IMMEDIATELY on the below contact form or by calling the shop. You must understand that it is your responsibility to provide the correct address initially and that a change of address may not be able to be facilitated if the shipment has already been initiated.

8. Limited Warranty
Monty’s Devon Ltd endeavours to provide the end user (“customer”) with a product that will be free from defects in workmanship and materials. If Monty’s Devon Ltd has supplied the end user (“Customer”) with a product that has defects in workmanship and materials that are classed to be a major problem that has not been caused by wear and tear by the customer or environment, for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase from Monty’s Devon Ltd then Monty’s Devon Ltd sole obligation under this warranty shall be, at Monty’s Devon Ltd available means of options and expense, to service the defective product or part, deliver to the end user an equivalent product or part, or to exchange the defective item, if neither of these options are reasonably available then Monty’s Devon Ltd at its sole discretion will refund to the Customer the purchase price paid for the defective product. The refund of the purchase price paid for the defective product will be refunded to the customer by the same way it was paid in the original purchase to Monty’s Devon Ltd. If Monty’s Devon Ltd replaces a product, the original defective product will become property of Monty’s Devon Ltd.
EXCLUSIONS for the Limited Warranty are that Monty’s Devon Ltd are not liable under the limited warranty if under examination the alleged defective product has had product modifications or alterations, resizing or wear and tear by the customer or environment.
All products returned to Monty’s Devon Ltd must be sent via appropriate shipment methods as stated in the SHIPPING, POSTAGE & DELIVERY POLICY and must be sent with tracking. Monty’s Devon Ltd holds no responsibility for loss or damages during the transfer to Monty’s Devon Ltd. Monty’s Devon Ltd holds no responsibility for the product until the item is returned to Monty’s Devon Ltd.
Limited of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE MONTY’S DEVON LTD SITE(S) IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. MONTY’S DEVON LTD RESERVES THE RIGHT FOR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. MONTY’S DEVON LTD WILL IN NO WAY BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR ABILITY OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE.
9. Diamond Certificates
When you purchase a diamond or diamond product from Monty’s Devon Ltd that has an accompanied GIA certificate or any other relevant certificate it is important to keep such certificates safe as there is only ever one original certificate. The grading certificates of the diamonds are the originals and therefore Monty’s Devon Ltd are unable to replace any lost reports.
The term TDW stands for Total Diamond Weight which represents the weight summation of all the diamonds within the piece of jewellery.
10. Complaints Procedure
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint concerning an order through a Monty’s Devon website(s) please contact us by using the form below or by calling or visiting our shop. We will acknowledge receipt of your contact within 2 working days. Your complaint will be personally dealt with, and you will be kept informed during all stages of the complaints procedure.
11. Cleaning & Polishing Jewellery
We retain the right to refuse to clean and/or polish pieces of jewellery at our discretion.
