Our Story

Monty’s originally started out life in London, launched by our founder Andrew. Since then Andrew met his wife Becky and together they have grown Monty’s into an award winning independent jewellery shop in beautiful South Devon.

Our store is now situated in the heart of Exeter, where our small talented team create beautiful and intricately crafted jewellery. Being surrounded by such natural beauty inspires our team of designers, makers and our on-site master Goldsmith to create one of a kind pieces.

We pride ourselves on every single part of the jewellery creation process being managed in-house, and offer ready to wear designs, bespoke commissioned pieces, wedding jewellery and beads. We also love to remodel existing sentimental jewellery, which we feel offers a sustainable way of creating a truly bespoke piece.

At Monty’s, we use the latest laser technology which allows us to repair/manufacture pieces much more efficiently whilst retaining our usual high level of quality craftsmanship. We have embraced this technology for the past year, revolutionising our jewellery making practices and broadening our creative horizons.

In addition, we love to share our knowledge and craft with others, through our ‘make your own wedding rings’ experience in our on-site studio.

Our Ethos

Sustainability and responsibility lie at the heart of our business, and we take special care to ensure that every process in our business is as planet friendly as possible. We also ensure that all of our diamonds, gems and beads are ethically sourced, and strive to source from UK suppliers where possible.
